Ok… What is GoSave?

1. What is GoSave?
GoSave is a service that helps you save money on your purchases at all your favorite stores. We list all the cash back rebates and coupons available at our list of exclusive partnership stores, enabling you to save on average 10% off your online purchase. Back to top.

2. Does GoSave cost me anything?
Nope. GoSave is 100% completely free. We don’t even ask for any credit card information. All you need to sign up and shop is an email address. Back to top.

3. Do I have to download anything?
Nope. GoSave is a service offered entirely through our website. You don’t download anything onto your computer. Back to top.

4. How does GoSave work?
It’s really simple. You sign up. You search for your favorite stores and find the cash back and coupons available at those stores. You click the link to go to that store. You make the purchase, and save money at checkout with our coupons. The store sends GoSave your purchase information. GoSave then deposits even more savings – cash back rebates – into your account. You can then request these cash savings to be sent to you. Back to top.

5. What is cash back?
Cash back is a rebate on the online purchase you make from one of the GoSave stores. This is the same as any rebate you get at a traditional store, except we deposit the rebate directly into your account as cash. You can then request this cash to be sent to you at any time. Back to top.

6. What are coupons?
Coupons are coupons. Have you ever cut coupons out of a newspaper to use at a store? Well, our coupons are just like that. We have exclusive coupon codes for our specific merchants. When you go to make a purchase at an online store, we will supply you with a coupon code to enter at the checkout page for the merchant. This is just the same as when a cashier at the store scans your coupon to deduct the coupon savings from your final price. When you enter the coupon online, the store will automatically deduct the savings from your final purchase price. Back to top.

7. Does GoSave process my transactions?
No. GoSave is not a store. We do not handle any of your credit card transactions or payments to merchants. Therefore, we will never ask for your credit card information. Back to top.

8. Does GoSave carry the products or services I buy?
No. GoSave does not maintain an inventory of products or supply services. We introduce you to our partnership merchants who supply the products and services you buy. Back to top.

9. Where do I start?
Just start looking for your favorite stores. Back to top.

10. How do I get my cash back rewards?
We send your cash back rewards electronically through Paypal, or by check through the mail. You get to choose the method. Back to top.

11. My dad always said, “money didn’t grow on trees...”
Well, your dad was wrong. At GoSave, we have genetically engineered seeds that produce an assortment of money growing from their branches. Our theory was based off reverse-engineering the concept of the seedless watermelon. If you can take the seeds out of the watermelon, then why can’t you put some dollar bills on a tree? It was really quite simple. Back to top.

12. Why does GoSave ask for my zip code at registration?
Great question. In the next few months, GoSave will be adding a variety of free services that will use your zip code to help you calculate shipping and sales tax—both designed to help you save even more money on your online purchases. Back to top.

13. How do I sign up?
Easily. Click here to sign up now.

How does Cash Back work?

14. Does cash back work if I go to a store down the street from my house and make a purchase?
No, cash back only works with online purchases through GoSave. Back to top.

15. Can I go back to an online store without using GoSave and still earn cash back?
No, before you want to make a purchase and earn cash back you must log in to GoSave and click the shop links on the store page. Back to top.

16. Where can I earn GoSave cash back?
You can earn GoSave cash back at any of the stores we provide. The cash back amount is clearly listed on all the searches and store pages. Back to top.

17. Do I need to sign into GoSave before every purchase to earn cash back?
Yes, you must log in to GoSave and click the shop links on the store page. Back to top.

18. How do I know how much cash back I will receive?
The cash back amount varies from store to store – but the amount is clearly listed on all the searches and stores pages. Back to top.

19. Why do some GoSave stores have dollar amounts and others have percentages?

GoSave uses a percentage at most stores – because this is how our GoSave partnership stores provide the savings. However, some stores provide savings in the form of specific dollar amounts. We will clearly list next to each store whether you receive a cash back percentage or exact cash back amount. Back to top.

20. Do I have to be a GoSave member to receive cash back?
Yes, you must create and account and log in to that account to receive GoSave cash back. Back to top.

21. Do I have to do anything at checkout to earn cash back?
Nope, all you have to do is click the links we provide. Our system will do the rest. Back to top.

22. What if my browser closes before I finish making my purchase?
If your window closes – or you think there might be an internet connectivity problem during your shopping – then you should sign in to GoSave again and re-start the shopping process. Back to top.

23. What if the GoSave.com window closes before I finish making my purchase?
No worries. Once you follow the GoSave links to shop at your store of choice, we will be able to provide your cash back. Back to top.

24. Do all purchases qualify for GoSave cash back?

Well, in short, 99% of purchases qualify. Some stores do not allow cash back on specific items. If this is the case, we’ll make sure to let you know clearly on the store page. Also, most stores do not provide cash back savings for purchasing gift certificates online. Back to top.

25. If I use a gift certificate, does that qualify for cash back?
No. Sorry, but most retailers do not provide cash back rebates for purchasing gift certificates online. Back to top.

26. Can I use coupons and still earn cash back?
Yep. In fact, the whole point of GoSave is for shoppers to combine coupons and cash back to save even more on your online purchases. Your cash back savings will be a percentage of your new sub-total purchasing price, after deducting the coupon. Back to top.

27. Is GoSave cash back calculated on total price, including shipping? Or sub-total?
Great question. This might vary slightly from store to store, but typically cash back is based on the sub-total (the listed sales price of the item you’re purchasing). Back to top.

28. Will my cash back show up immediately on GoSave?

No. Cash back will appear in your account typically 1-4 days after your purchase. We’d like to make the process faster, but it often takes our GoSave partner stores a day or two to confirm your payment and ship your item. Once your item is confirmed by the store, we’ll get your cash back in your account in no time. Back to top.

29. What if I need to contact the merchant or change my order?
Contacting the merchant to change your order may cause problems with your cash back. Even if you do not change the order, the merchant may change the order without informing you, and your GoSave cash back may no longer be credited.

Adding a warranty, changing payment method, or even adding another item to your order is “changing the order.” Any change to your order can void your GoSave cash back.

If you need to cancel or change your order, then contact the merchant directly using the contact information GoSave provides on the store page. Then, use GoSave to re-purchase the item using the new specifications that you want.

If there are any problems with an order, the GoSave merchant will not honor your purchase. If GoSave does not receive confirmation of your purchase, we cannot provide your cash back. Back to top.

30. How long does it take for cash back to show up in my GoSave account?

Cash back will appear in your account typically 1-4 days after your purchase. We’d like to make the process faster, but it often takes our GoSave partner stores a day or two to confirm your payment and ship your item. Once your item is confirmed by the store, we’ll get your cash back in your account in no time. Back to top.

31. What happens to my cash back if I return or cancel my purchase?

Your cash back will be removed from your account for that purchase. If you cancel the purchase before GoSave provides your cash back, then you won’t see any cash back added to your account. If you cancel or return your order after GoSave cash back is deposited in your account, then you will see the cash back for that purchase deducted from your account. Back to top.

32. Do I have to pay taxes on cash back?

First off, we’re not tax attorneys, accountants, or the IRS. So if you’re someone with a lot of cash back (say, like a merchant who uses GoSave often), then we’d advise you to consult the proper professionals.

Most tax advisers say rebates are generally considered a reduction in purchase price, and not likely to be taxed. But the government is always in need of more of your money so consult a tax adviser if you have specific questions. Back to top.

33. Why does GoSave provide cash back?
GoSave provides cash back savings because we believe in giving online shoppers all the tools they need to make purchases for lower prices. GoSave receives a commission on each percentage of your purchase. We keep part of this percentage, and give the rest back to you as your cash back savings. Back to top.

How do coupons work?

34. What are GoSave coupons?
GoSave coupons are exclusive codes that provide added discounts to your purchase. Back to top.

35. Can I use GoSave coupons if I go to an actual store and make a purchase?
No. GoSave coupons are only allowed to be used through GoSave while making your online purchase. Back to top.

36. How do I apply my GoSave coupons?

It’s really easy. GoSave provide specific “coupon codes” that you must copy and paste during your checkout at the online store. To apply the coupon code, choose the items you want to purchase, then click “view cart” or “checkout.” At these pages, there will be an area for you to enter your code. Typically, merchants will say: “Enter your promo code” or “Enter your discount code.”

To help you remember the code, GoSave provides a special tracking bar at the top of your page while you shop at the online store. Choose the coupon you want by clicking that coupon – this will automatically copy the coupon code for you. Paste this code into the “Promo Code” box at the merchants cart or checkout page. Back to top.

37. Are coupon savings automatically applied to my purchase?

Yes, these coupons will be automatically deducted from your purchase price. Back to top.

38. What if my GoSave coupon is not working at checkout?

If you’re having a problem with the coupon, try closing the window and coming back to GoSave. Start the shopping process over again, and re-paste the coupon code into the promo code box at checkout.

If the process does not work, please notify us immediately. Sometimes, merchants’ systems do not always recognize coupon codes. If you notify us and we have the same problem, we will immediately remove that coupon from our database. We apologize in advance if you ever experience this inconvenience. Back to top.

40. Can I use coupons from outside GoSave?
No. If you do use coupons not provided by GoSave, then you might not be credited your cash back. Our GoSave merchants provide us specific coupons that can only be applied at GoSave, and we have to use them. Back to top.

41. Does GoSave track my coupon savings in My Account?
No. Currently, our technology does not allow us to track your coupon savings directly and report them back to you.

42. What’s the point of using coupons and cash back together?
To save more money, duh! Back to top.

What is My Account?

43. What is the My Account page?
This page is where you can find all information regarding your purchase history and cash back. From this page, you can edit your “Payment Method” to receive cash back payments by PayPal or check. You can also “Request Payment” of your cash back savings. Lastly, you can change your password and contact information. Back to top.

44. What is the difference between total savings, pending, and available cash back.
Total savings is all the cash back you have ever accumulated by making purchases through GoSave. Pending cash back is the amount of cash in your account that is still awaiting the completion of the return period. Remember, GoSave must hold onto your cash back to make sure there are no problems with the purchase, such as you returning the purchase. Once the return period expires, that pending cash back becomes available cash back, and you can request a payment. The amount listed under “Available Cash Back” is the maximum amount you can request for payment. Back to top.

45. If I just made a purchase, why is there no cash back in my account?
It takes anywhere from 1-4 days for GoSave to receive information about your purchase. We’d love to make the process faster, but we have to make sure your payment clears and the product is shipped by the merchant. Back to top.

46. Why is there a negative purchase amount in my transactions?
A negative purchase is a purchase that has been returned or cancelled. If you believe this negative purchase is in error, then please contact us about the problem immediately. Back to top.

47. When do my cash back earnings become available?
Cash back earnings become available once the return policy for each store passes. This can range from 10-90 days after you completed your purchase. Back to top.
